Are you prepared to provide the right level of support, or signpost this to your staff? If you work with young people, are you equipped to spot the signs associated with their mental health and provide the support needed?
In spotting the signs early and providing qualified help, you are more likely to keep the individual at work or on track with their education, as opposed to them going sick or stepping away.
The idea of Mental Health Aware, Mental Health First Aid and Managing, Promoting and Understanding Mental Health and WELL-being in the Workplace, is that early intervention for someone experiencing mental health challenges, can either prevent them spiralling into a deeper crisis or help them find a pathway through their issues.
