Andy has 20 years’ experience in the emergency services, mostly as a ‘dope-on-a-rope’ or a paramedic on rescue helicopters. He now believes he’ll save more lives through Mental Health First Aid, campaigning & public speaking, especially to reduce male suicide rates.
Andy’s career pivot began when he delivered a mental health workshop, attended by HRH Duke of Cambridge, at the UK Search and Rescue National Conference in 2018.
Andy leads the Oyster Outcomes Adult Mental Health First Aid Training team, and is also highly skilled at working with teams to establish mental health and wellbeing strategies through bespoke workshops and facilitation.
