Private sector schools are not immune from strong financial headwinds, not least as the world recovers from the Covid-19 pandemic, and the economy in the UK remains under pressure from the cost-of-living crisis. University tuition fees have not increased since 2016. Whilst running costs and arguably wages have increased, the money coming into education establishments in the UK has declined.
In the middle of this are a generation of children and young people who are unable to access the teachers and resources afforded to those studying in the early 2000’s. Teachers, school leaders and university lecturers are scarce and those who remain are under pressure.
